Occasionally, we make slips of the tongue
by making mistakes in speaking.
The mistake may be
a wrong pronunciation of a word or
an improper use of a wrong word
instead of the right one.
Such verbal slips may arise from some unconscious thoughts, thus revealing some unconscious belief, wish, or motive of the speaker.
Such verbal slips are known as
Freudian slips after Sigmund Freud.
So, when you want to say,
"I have tons of love for you,"
yet you say,
"I have none of love for you" instead!
This verbal slip may reveal that
your love for him/her is rapidly fading...
