The memories of the initial encounters
in every segment of life are
the most treasured and
become sweeter as time goes by:
the first puppy love,
the first art course taken,
the first job,
the first posting in a lifelong career,
the first vacation overseas,
the first book published,
the first Japanese TV drama watched...
However, these sweet memories may sometimes
make me feel sad,
as I know that I cannot always
experience the same joy
in their subsequent encounters.
