Recently, there is a piece of news
reporting that a pair of lovers
fought against each other and
the Police was finally called to the scene
to settle the case.
The fight was caused by the female insisting in
having AA for the meal
while the male wanted to
pay for the female also.
Becuase of this incident,
I like to grant a special name
"AA Baby" to this lady !
She is such a lovely baby, a fair lady!
For we Hongkong people,
AA, when applied to paying bills, means
"All Average" or "Arithmetic Average".
Each attendant of the meal
pays his/her fair share for the meal.
In English, the terms used is "going Dutch".
Some people wanted to be treated,
but there are always some others
who do not want to be treated.
Yes, a fair share prevents possible future obligations
arising from the "free meal".
You know, there is no free lunch
for normal social interactions!
