Happy Mother’s Day!

Every Mother’s Day,

everyone cheers—either for them

selves or for others—

shouting, “Happy Mother’s Day!”

This is a kind of wish or hope.

Not necessarily a statement of fact.

Mother’s Day—

does it truly have to be happy?

It depends on 

what kind of person the mother is;

and it also depends on 

what kind of people her children are.

Do the mother and her children fit well together 

in some aspects of life?

每逢母親節，

大家都對自己或别人，

說句「母親節快樂」，

這是一句祝福或期許的說話。

未必是事實的陳述。

母親節一定快樂吧？

要看母親是一個怎樣的人；

也要看其子女是一個怎樣的人。

母親和子女在生活上有些方面好好契合嗎？
