When I was small,
father was tall and strong.
Father could throw me up above his head
and let me land on his chest.
Then I was tall,
father from long before could not throw me up
because I was too heavy for him
even just to pick me up.
Father was no more tall and strong.
But he could jog with me occasionally.
Time flied and no one asked the time of day.
One day, I suddenly found that
father was still tall and strong,
when I attempted to throw my son up
above my head and
let my son land on my chest.

The above passages are inspired by the lyrics of
the Bee Gees' First of May:
When I was small
And Christmas trees were tall
We used to laugh while others used to play
Don't ask me why
But time has passed us by
Someone else moved in from far away
Now we are tall
And Christmas trees are small
And you don't ask the time of day
But you and I
Our love will never die
To kiss and cry, "Come, first of May"
The apple tree that grew for you and me
I watched the apples falling one by one
And I recall the moment of them all
The day I kissed your cheek and you were gone
Now we are tall
And Christmas trees are small
And you don't ask the time of day
But you and I
Our love will never die
To kiss and cry, "Come, first of May"
When I was small
And Christmas trees were tall
Doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo
Don't ask me why
But time has passed us by
Someone else moved in from far away
