Encounters coming once in a lifetime

I am quite well aware that 

many encounters come once in a lifetime.

These encounters don't necessarily mean that 

I can have good interactions with them, 

whether for a short time or forever.

Even if I can never flow in the same stream 

with these encounters, 

I still treasure the interactions 

they have had with me in my life.

Among these encounters is my dog Bobby, 

whom I raised during my childhood. 

I choose not to raise another dog afterward to 

avoid the pain of separation.
