Envy might be a part of human nature.
Feeling envious of others is
a common emotion, and such emotion
often drives behavior in two main directions:
1. To hope that something
happens to the object of envy,
making them worse off than oneself;
2. To hope to surpass the object of envy
through one’s own efforts.
The direction taken depends on
an individual’s personality tendencies.
If one can feel envy toward others,
is it possible to also feel envy toward oneself?
If so, the actions driven by such emotion
would similarly have two main directions:
1. To hope that something happens to oneself,
making oneself worse off than before;
2. To hope to surpass oneself through
one’s own efforts.
But when envying oneself,
would one truly hope to
experience something that
makes oneself worse than before?
Human nature is complex,
and interpersonal relationships are often tangled.
Perhaps it’s not entirely impossible!
誰妒忌誰
妒忌應是人性一部份。
妒忌他人是一種常見的情感，
而情感往往推動行為，
主要向著兩大方向：
一是希望妒忌的對象
會發生一些事情之後差過自己；
二是希望自己努力進步超越妒忌的對象。
而向着那個方向取决於個人性格傾向。
妒忌別人的情感，
會不會也用來妒忌自己的呢？
如果會，情感推動的行為，
會和妒忌別人的方向同樣有著兩大方向：
一是希望自己會發生一些事情之後差過自己；
二是希望自己努力進步超越自己。
但妒忌自己，
會希望自己發生一些事情之後差過自己嗎？
人性複雜，人際紛亂，也不是沒有可能的吧！
