Being a professional in a specific field

has many privileges. 

For example, he has a say in and for that field 

while non-professionals do not.

Among these privileges, 

these professionals values one in particular: 

the excuse for being an idiot in all other fields.

When such a professional is approached 

in his workplace or social circles

for holistic advice, work output, 

or any other matters of a wider scope,

he often lacks the capability to provide it. 

The underlying reason is that, 

while he may possess 

substantial professional knowledge in his specific field, 

he has little or even no understanding of others, 

coupled with a lack of common sense. 

However, he can use the strong excuse of 

being a professional only in his specific field, 

stating that he does not have 

professional expertise in other fields.

The best he can do is to 

pass the buck to others or to 

other professionals in different fields.

When I was young,

I liked to win.

And luckily I always won in a game or other!

Selective Forgetfulness vs Forced Forgetfulness

Some say that it is lucky to be able to forget!
Who says so must refer to the ability
to selectively forget those sad memories only, 
but not the happy ones~


But it is not so happy if one is 
forced to forget due to age or disease:

When one gets old, 
one tends to lose memories 
due to aging brain functions; or 

When one gets disease 
such as Alzheimer's Disease,  
one tends to lose memories 
due to damaging brain functions 
caused by the disease. 

It is sad that one will lose memories of 
both happy and sad memories.

It is even more sad to be self aware that 
memories are losing, and all attempts 
to retain them are in vain.

Unfortunate Coincidence In Life

Sometimes, life presents us with 

unfortunate coincidences.

For example, my new girlfriend shares the same birthday as my first love, 

whom I once loved deeply. 

Each time I celebrate my new girlfriend's birthday, 

I am reminded of my first love's birthday and 

all the happy moments we shared, 

which I miss very much.

Having two girlfriends with the same birthday 

is a rare coincidence, but it does happen! 

To me, it feels like an unfortunate twist of fate.

To avoid this unhappy state of mind, 

I could choose to celebrate my new girlfriend's birthday on a different day. 

However, such an arrangement would make 

my new girlfriend unhappy, 

even though it might ease my discomfort.

In the end, I continue to celebrate 

my new girlfriend's birthday on her special day, despite the emotional challenge it brings.
